Volunteer Firefighters
The Danish Civil Protection League has around 5000 volunteers, men and women, working to assist authorities in disaster preparedness and during crisis situations in the country.
They now report on activities using smart phones. This allows the organization to document and report on where and when volunteers have been active.
Integration to Website and Facebook
When reports are sent in by volunteers via smartphones, an communication officer reviews and publishes reports.
On the member pages other volunteers can log in and see where the organisation has been active lately. These views of data is done via the API.
Via an RSS feed the same reports are published on a Facebook page for volunteers.
Creating visibility
This way the Dansih Civil Protection Agency intend to create more awareness from the public and decision-makers on the work that organisation do.
